Yes, no where does the Constitution task us with policing the world.

Saddam represented no threat to the US and 9/11 gave a whole new threat picture to concern ourselves with.

Now, Iraqi continues to descent into chaos, once again proving how pointless this war was. And what do we get from the far right? Attempts to deflect the blame along with nothing but insanely contradicting whining about Obama: he's "weak" for not bombing Iraqi into the dirt, but a "war-monger" for sending troops. It is all just more right-wing hypocrisy and spin - a flat-out refusal to own the mess they created and accept reality. Within a few weeks, I'm sure all the whiners who were somehow both upset about pulling out of Iraqi and upset about sending troops back will be upset about "how much this war is costing," while conveniently ignoring the fact that if Bush and pals hadn't lied to us, this war would have never have started.
Exactly right. This was Bush/Cheney's mess, something the right refuses to acknowledge. But history will record and place the blame exactly where it belongs--on GWB and his pals, all the rightwing attempts to disown it notwithstanding.

Republicans aren't at fault for lying, but Democrats are at fault for believing their lies. The scum Bush isn't at fault for making bad decisions, but Democrats are at fault for authorizing him to do so. Got it.

And Bush isn't at fault for creating this colossal, unmanageable, horrific, unsolvable mess, but Obama is at fault for not being able to clean up his colossal, unmanageable, horrific, unsolvable mess.

The rightwingers really are idiotic if they think anyone is buying the **** they're trying to sell.

I think it's long past time to remove every American from Iraq, tell Maliki and his merry group of bandits the American $$$ teat has run dry, and let Iraq fend for itself. Had Obama a set of cojones it would have been a fait accompli before the end of his first term

First and foremost, prove to us that George W. Bush peddled a lie to the American people. No hindsight 20/20 prognostication. Show us the proof that Bush et al formulated a lie in 2002/2003 and told it to the people in the run up to the Iraq war.

If you can't do it, then you and your liberal brethren on this thread are the liars, not George W. Bush.

Do you want to be referred to as a liar? No? Then prove to us you're not.

And then he would have been blamed for being "weak on Iraqi" and "giving up the gains we've made there," whatever those are, because realistically, we haven't accomplished much of anything. Of course, this assumes Obama has any real say in the matter anyway - no doubt plenty of very powerful people who answer to neither party have vested reasons to keep the war going in the Mid East forever...

Bush: "This (Hussein) is a man who has got connections with Al Qaida. Imagine a terrorist network with Iraq as an arsenal and as a training ground.."

The 9/11 Commission found no evidence of a "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and al Qaeda.

If it walks like a lie, walks like a lie, and sounds like a lie............................................... ..

It's all Bush's fault regardless.

Remember how Bush said Iraq posed a threat? Remember how it didn't? There you go.

Bush said Iraq posed a threat. Iraq did not pose a threat. Therefore Bush was lying. The discussion of the intelligence Bush ignored because it did not support his decision to invade is ten years old. Where have you been?

Oh. "America does not torture". That's another lie the torturer Bush told.
