"A three-day hunt for a rapist, who police say repeatedly victimized a young doctor inside her Rittenhouse Square apartment this weekend, has ended with the arrest of a South Philadelphia man.

Capt. John Darby, head of the Special Victims Unit, said Tuesday that 28-year-old Milton Mateo Garcia has been charged with Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping and related offenses for the assault that took place early Saturday morning."

"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division is assisting in the investigation as Mateo Garcia is a Honduran citizen, Darby said."

As I watched the news this morning, they stated that he had been deported a few years ago, but "somehow" returned.

SOMEHOW!

Our border is wide open and we have a current administration that refuses to follow the laws of the land.

I'm sure that the lefties on here will find some way to defend obama and deflect.

Deflect? You just deflected from this poor woman's rape to try and score a political point about Obama. Feel good about yourself?

If the OP doesn't care about the actual crime and just cares about the illegal part, then this thread should be in the illegal immigration section where it belongs.

Of course, *legal* citizens never commit crimes.

Oh, no.

Wow, reality isn't your cup of tea? you realize this president has deported more than any other? where is your disdain of the previous administration that "didn't enforce the laws of the land" and failed to deport nearly as many.

Your lack of research failed to turn up that Milton Garcia was deported by the policies currently in place, only to return by a nefarious means. So this president's policies deported the man and he returned , but you still say it is Obama's fault? Ok share some of that "medical" maijuana with the rest of us before you weave your fancy stories.

Maybe deporting those with serious crimes.

As a whole? I don't believe that. You'd probably be furious if he really was enforcing the law to its fullest extent.

Please! Why does this myth persist? Do you realize that this president has changed the ways deportation is counted by including those turned away at the border? That's not deportation, that's just doing what border patrol is supposed to do. However, under this Administration it is now considered deportation to pad his numbers.

These days he's not even bothering with that, or has the large numbers of children escaped your notice? There are so many border patrol overwhelmed by having to take care of these children, that they aren't able to patrol the border. I wonder how long before you realize that this president's policies will cause more criminals to get into this country.

Maybe if the cops been allowed to do their job and ENFORCE the law; that ILLEGAL alien would've been picked up before he raped that doctor. So; yes, I DO blame Obama for not making it hell on earth for illegal aliens in the US. Sheesh!

There are 250,000 reported rapes a year...which don't matter to the OP unless they were done by an illegal.

Using a crime where the person was originally deported.

Maybe I should use the gun argument in that it's not going to stop the crime if it's illegal if the criminal really wants to do it.

How does one make it "hell on Earth" for illegals if one isn't able to tell what an illegal looks like? Are you saying the government should crack down on legal Americans just to find those that are here illegally? That sounds oppressive.
