American society is built around heterosexual, white males. The fact that ANY male in the US complain about the situation is laughable at best and downright pathetic at worst.
Guess what? I'm a heterosexual, white male but I'm not complaining about my situation. I'm not a pick-up artist that **** shames women for whatever reason. Screw that, I'm doing what I can to get into the industry my major focused on and trying to survive.
The term "mens rights activist' makes me laugh so much.
If you want to be a cocktail waitress then apply for the job. I don't see the issue here??? If they deny you the job due to gender then find an attorney and sue them for discrimination. I doubt you will find an attorney to take your case but why not try... Good luck in your career.
We had a case like this many years ago. The plaintiff won, but the defendant retained the power to enforce a dress code. The plaintiff decided against wearing the pumps, makeup and short dress.
Isn't that unfair to men who might want to obtain work bringing drinks to thirsty patrons?
What about "transgendered" people?
Should a man who considers himself to be a woman be denied employment as a cocktail server simply because of his natural chromosome structure?
You don't get out much do you? I've had transgendered servers at Sizzler, for pity's sake. It's hardly a big deal where you live. Try to keep up. It's 2014, not 1983.
