I'm liking it.
Democrats: The TRUE "party of no."

And for the record, the federal government not doing stuff is generally a GOOD thing. They've screwed up most of what they've stuck their grubby little fingers into, so when it comes to fed.gov, less is more.

But then who will Obama blame for being obstructionist? Who will he blame when no bills get passed? Ah never mind. George W Bush is always available for Obama to blame.

Depends on the Republican bills Congress sends. Clinton managed to work with a Republican Congress because they weren't sending him bat s*** crazy bills. If that were to happen with a Republican Congress, then I expect a president to veto every one of those bills.

I expect Republican control of both houses of congress after the 2014 elections would result in actions that would be an absolute disaster for that party in the 2016 elections. A Republican Congress would show the country just exactly what would happen if the Corporatocracy ran the country for their own profit and only their profit. It would be interesting times.

Maybe you should inform your fellow right wingers on this site that the Republicans don't actually want to do any of these things.
Your guilty conscience may move you to vote Democrat, but we both know deep down you long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, enslave the poor, and rule you like a king.

Well, you also expected Obama to be a good President. So forgive me for totally discounting your opinion.

Your discounting my opinion only give it more credibility. Thank You.

Haha, who doesn't long for that kind of Republican control?

Default makes no difference

What will change if the Republicans do take control of the Senate? It takes 60 votes to do anything.

Republicans have filibustered Obama at a record rate.

There's no way on earth the Repubs are going to get a super-majority. If they do get 51 or 52, they will get a taste of their own medicine as Dems will certainly block an extremist, right-wing agenda. And even if they are able to pass anything that matches the House, Obama has the veto pen handy.

We're basically on hold for two more years, when Hillary takes the Presidency and Bill moves back into the White House. Get your popcorn...
