So? Can you think further than your nose? The attendee was the help and that recording was given to the liberal media and the liberal media used the recording to get the useful idiots all riled up. Baahaaa.

And that does not change the facts that to waste contributions on people who thought Obama was santa clause would be dumb.

All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it -- that that's an entitlement.

And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ... These are people who pay no income tax. ... [M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives." - Mitt Romney

Turned out he was right (like he was right about Russia)

He was criticized for stereotyping, not to mention the fact that he was wrong.
A stereotype is a thought that can be adopted about specific types of individuals or certain ways of doing things.

Just like Romney was right about Russia (which the liberal media had a good laugh about), he was right about the 47%. You find it offensive because you don't like what it looks like.. and it's ugly.

huh????

These are all just economic stats, 47% included. Why anyone would be offended by someone who cites an economic stat, whether it is 47%, rising productivity, or falling median income, I am hard pressed to know.

47% would include SS retirees as well as veterans getting government health care. Are you viewing them in the same manner as someone on welfare?

I do agree his comment was ugly, and stupid due to the fact most Americans hold veterans in higher regard. Of course, most Americans were not trust fund babies.

His father, no doubt, would be ashamed of him, as he should be. His father was a good man, unlike his son.

He was wrong about the 47%, as I hold veterans in high regard, as patriotic people do.

If that was all he did I don't think anybody would have cared, but then he took it step further and stereotyped that entire group. He wasn't even pointing out that 47% pay no income tax. What he said and was trying to convey was that 47% of Americans (those paying no income tax) were beholden to Obama and the government by virtue of their current economic status, which isn't remotely true. What is really ironic is that Romney won the poorest states and took 47% of the vote.

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what.
