Clinton didn't invade Iraq. Big difference there, huh?
Are you saying that Bush never used the phrase 'WMDs'?
Only Clinton?
wow
Of course Bush did. If you listen to president Bush's justifications for using military action against Saddam it's almost exactly the same arguments made by then president Clinton to use military force against Saddam. So what changed, 9/11 changed everything, which is why Bush received almost unnanimous support from both dems and repubs to use military force against Saddam.

Not this Democrat.
I thought going after OBL in Afghanistan was justified; but NOT invading Iraq.
Big, big, BIG mistake, that.
A multi-level mistake.
It's impossible to say categorically what would have happened in Iraq, had Obama kept a sufficient stay behind military force, to provide security, but I think it's clear that ISIS would not have felt bold enough to invade Iraq and be doing what it's doing.
How long should we have left a military force in Iraq? Forever? And not abide by the agreement Bush put in place before he left?

The original BBC article actually had quoted someone regarding the inauthenticity of the tweet, but the original article has been replaced by the "Doubts grow" article.
However AlJazeera does state that websites and tweets that are associated with ISIS deny the authenticity of the tweet.

If this country is not willing to stop the "genocide" by Israel in Gaza, we have no business in Iraq. The US can't police the world, especially when our country is being decimated by Dixie Conservatism.
There is no genocide by Israel in Gaza. Hamas is continuing to use hospitals for its militant activities against Israel.

Red herring. The purpose of a stay behind security force was to prevent exactly what we see going on. Obama is responsible for this failure, your deflections are noted.

And our democrats and republicans voted to give him the authority to do it. Iraq was on the right course when Obama took it over, and then either thru deliberate action, or because of gross incompetence and ineptitude he destroyed all the progress made.
And apparently the UN is assisting Hamas by storing rockets in their schools. Then when the wrong people find these rockets and report them to the news medisa, the UN gives them back t Hamas, so they can be launched into Israel.

And here it is again, that crazy rightwing meme that everything was going swimmingly in Iraq until Obama took office. The only "progress" in Iraq was that we were getting out of it.
I'll grant you that there definitely was "gross incompetence and ineptitude," and that was going into Iraq with the infantile idea that we could conquer the country in six weeks, be greeted as liberators, and install western style democracy, but those were wholly on the part of the previous administration.
Anything and everything else is rightwing, rewriting history Fantasyland.
