Why must the Feds get involved with everything these days? I'm speaking about the situation with the footballer Ray Rice. The evidence, he knocked out his fiance in an elevator. The NFL chose to suspend him then when more evidence came out they ended his career. I think they were right to suspend him just like if one of their employees was found to be taking drugs or implicated in a crime. Yes Ray Rice is an employee of the NFL and they dealt with it. Mrs Rice didn't press charges so that should be it. So why does the Federal gov. feel the need to go after the "CEO" of the NFL?
Why does the feds feel the need to send the FBI and other investigators to Ferguson to investigate the Brown shooting? Can't the state authorities handle it?
There are many more examples where it seems like the Feds get involved with matters they have no right to be involved with. More and more it seems like any scandal or public problem that has enough press on it suddenly gets politicised and whatever politician doesn't stand up with outrage demanding an investigation is painted with the brush of 'if you ain't against it you must be for it". What ever happened to butting out and letting people without an agenda solve the problems?
It just feels like our elected officials want to dictate to us how and what we should feel and care about.
Because we are "citizens", or "subjects" not persons. It, the State, views us their property or "clay to mold". And those who seek the power of government are narcissists, megalomaniacs, sociopaths, and psychopaths as a rule. It is only natural for the State to insinuate itself into anything and everything, it is the collective insanity of "government" which is only a fictional entity that initiates force against the individual. Actual humans are only insects whose sole purpose is to serve its interest and beliefs.

Because, they like to do the things they can do. They don't do the hard things you want a federal government to handle because it's just too hard for them to do it effectively or efficiently like visa overstays, for example. It's easier for them to get involved with small potatoes.
It's the same reason why TV news pundits totally miss some big economic stories until it's sitting on them. They don't know squat about financial stuff because when they were going for a journalism degree, they skipped those hard economics classes. It's easier to cover celebrity deaths so that's what they do.

Do you have a link to the Federal Government involvement in the Ray Rice affair?
I would say that is close enough in this wonderful country we now live in if you are a critical thinker.
The Ray Rice story should not even be news, unfortunately men beat on women everyday, but since people seem to idolize sport figures they keep the sheep occupied with useless news.

Doesn't the federal government have treaties with local law enforcement under the Patriot Act?
Don't they protect each other?
