The conservative William F. Buckley, Jr. Program held a free speech panel Friday featuring the Freedom for Individual Rights in Education’s Greg Luikianoff and National Review‘s Kevin Williamson. The purpose of the panel was the backlash and screaming protests on Yale’s campus after an associate master sent an email contesting the University’s stance on offensive Halloween costumes.
Spitting on someone qualifies as assault. Therefore, I would have no sympathies if said spitters received a punch in the face, or were arrested. Perhaps a broken jaw, or a night in the clink might make them think twice about their behavior.

Liberals love free speech, except when they don't.
Liberals are turning into violent, intolerant, close minded bigots, which is to be expected when they call the Democrtic Party, with its dispicable history, as their political party of choice.
Someone is supposedly intelligent enough to be admitted to a first-rate university, and he or she shows outrage by spitting?
Yes, university admittance standards certainly appear to be much lower now than they were 45 years ago!
Perhaps these protesters should be reacquainted with the lives and beliefs of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi. I would be willing to bet that either of those men were much more effective at getting what they wanted than those protesters will ever be.

Actually the protesters agree that 1-it happened, and 2-it is disgraceful. From the link:
Quote:
Mitchell Rose Bear Don’t Walk ’16, a Native American student and one of the leaders of the protest, said she has spoken to the fellow who said he was spat on. She emphasized that spitting is “disgraceful” and not the message the protestors were looking to convey, but she confirmed that it did happen.
soooo given that you are applying a small % of thoses actions to the larger group, can I then label you as all being say...racist based upon the actions of a small minority of your party?
Should I bring up some of the actions of a small % of your group, and say thats what all of you are?

Of course I shouldnt. So why are you?
Your post would carry more weight if this forum was not already notable for making sweeping generalizations - liberals, conservatives, cops, southern red necks, black thugs, welfare queens, white males, you name it and this forum has generalized it
What's happening now isn't happening in a vacuum, and this Yale-crap is one episode in a pattern of episodes that are beginning to sweep the nation. Black Lives Matter, the demonization of law enforcement, what will eventually come out as the truth at Mizzou, the powerless suddenly empowered, authority suddenly unempowered.
Those who created this beast think that they can control it. Just like they always think they can control the bad actor puppets we install across the globe. We can't do it internationally, and we sure as hell can't do it domestically. Keep feeding beast - it's very hungry.

And at one point and may still be a felony in New York state because of the possible transmission of AIDS. So I guess by your comment, the leaders of NY are stupid to hold their jobs.
