A lemon is a fruit. And an AR15 is an assault rifle.

What is an assault rifle? An assault rifle is designed to take out a large number of people in a short period of time. Adam Lanza used an AR15 to kill 20 school kids and 6 adults in Newtown. James Holmes used an AR15 to kill a dozen people in a movie theater while injuring dozens more. For those purposes, the AR15 has been very successful.

If they removed the guns, gutted the interior, and blocked the tires, it would make for the coolest playground equipment ever.

In Ca. it would become an Avocado and get a much higher price.

I'm not up to date on all the school and lunatic shootings that have occurred throughout the country. I would like to see where having the MRAP would have altered the outcome. No one seems to be doing that. Makes me wonder why.

Again, I don't think anyone would expect the MRAP to change anything and this is more like a local agency just taking free toys because they can. The Feds are giving them away so someone said "we want one!" In reality it is completely useless to them.

Driving a vehicle that gets 3 MPG and requires extensive maintenance is not very prudent unless they start mining the border and shooting RPG's.

Wrong, an assault rifle is a select-fire weapon, one of the selections is fully automatic. So the AR15 is not an assault rifle, and you know it! If Lanza had instead used a Glock 17 with an extended-magazine to hold 30 rounds, would you have called it an assault pistol?

Even if looked at as a benign piece of equipment, government employees paid with tax dollars are spending time (which means money) on its allocation. Stop being an apologist.

Obama may need to recall these for his new war on ISIS.

How about you stop seeing imaginary demons under every rock? You frequently like to go off the deep end, I'm just saying.
