Barbara Haley was at home in Omaha, Neb. when she was awakened by her dog barking. Suspicious, Haley retrieved a .45-caliber pistol and went to investigate. Initially, Haley didn’t find anyone in the home and went back to bed. However, another noise roused Haley again, at which point she discovered an intruder in a bedroom closet. Haley ordered the man to stay still and held him at gunpoint in the closet until police arrived.
Following the incident, Haley told a local media outlet, “I’m glad I had that gun… And I’m thinking they (burglars) won’t try this again anytime soon.” (The Omaha World-Herald, Omaha, Neb. 09/02/14)
How dare this woman have a gun in her house when it was absolutely obvious that intruder was there for something he needed at that particular time and this lady was the only one who had that particular item...

Not sure what the fuss is about with this story, a lot if women have guns and would have done the exact same thing, only some of us should have shot him without waiting for the police, that's the only slight difference.
I'm glad she had the gun for protection too and a .45 at that. The tool successfully performed one of its many multitasking jobs primarily of which is to keep the owner from damage, violation or other unpleasant nasty occurrences. That intruder could otherwise have raped or indecently assaulted her and will perhaps experience some of that first hand while incarcerated. An uninvited intruder in my closet, in the middle of the night no less, would most certainly be removed from the premises in a rubber bag.

With prison over crowding, he will be up for early release in 6 months.

Just posting this because every time someone gets hurt or shot, the anti gunners come out in force and say SEE SEE SEE......guns are bad....so I thought I would start posting one for one....
Notice the anti gunners are staying far away from this thread....
