My comment was about the poster's CIA and Bush speculation, I wasn't commenting beyond that.

NBC is reporting that the majority of the people in Pakistan believe that their President was responsible for the assassination. Even if he is not, if enough people believe it to be true then chaos will occur.

Yeah, or maybe it was them aliens from Independence Day with their crazy tentacles and mind-control powers who did it.

Islam killed her, plain and simple. No need to look for the black helicopters here.

In light of the growing chaos in Pakistan, a nuclear armed country that has known to harbor the Taliban and some of the most radical extremist in the Middle East, it makes one wonder what the worlds response to this will be. I mean, look how long it too to convince Musharaff to take off his little dictators uniform. Seems the Middle East just got a good bit more worrisome.

That is by far one of the must ill informed opinions I have seen in a long time. What is going on in Pakistan is political, educate yourself.

Gas prices are supposed to skyrocket because of this. Look for $3.50 or $4 within the next week or two.

That nation is going to collapse.

Aside from that, what makes you think gas prices will go up? It isn't a petroleum exporter.

I suppose that my first inclination is not to think that they have nuclear weapons, (which is why I'm a teacher and not a politician), but to think how devestating this must be for the people of Pakistan, whether there was corruption under her rule in the past or not, to have their hopes for change dashed must be almost unbearable - with the state of emergency last month and Musharraf now wanting to cancel elections in Jan. So so sad.

Oh my goodness. If this is a coordinated assassination, we really must reconsider who we call "friends".

Speculators fear that the instability in Pakistan will spread to neighboring nations which do export petroleum. Basically, its just an excuse to further steal from the American consumer.
