I remember telling some people that the black market will still exist under legalization. Legalization alone won't end street crime.

Well, if they all end up in an oven, may be I'll care a little. I've seen how lazy they are. They set up gofundme accounts because they don't have a job but they always have money to buy weed. I work 2 jobs, one as a middle manager, and I drink about $10 worth of alcohol a month.

So, just do whatever with pot. Makes no difference to me. Let the potheads deal with it.

The cigarette black market is exploding as well. That's what happens when you over tax something.

I fully support people buying illegal cigarettes. I don't smoke, but I certainly would look the other way and not report someone for smoking illegal cigarettes. The tyranny of the government, especially related to alcohol and tobacco is staggering.

There is an active black market for cigarettes as they are $$$$ due to taxes. Same difference. The Medicine Man guy - who seeks to be bought up by a big box pot conglomerate - is one of the reasons a black market will exist. Look at his operation and imagine what his overhead is. He has to sell his weed at inflated prices only transplanted metrosexual CA yuppy hipsters can afford. If you watched the clip, you saw the clietele.
The guy who gets a lb, cuts it up into ozs and sells cheap so he gets free weed is the way it has been done for decades. Making weed legal/medical is merely letting a government agency horn in on the action and take their slice out of the pie. The federal government knows all about dealing drugs as the CIA has been dealing in opium since Vietnam. Simple weed grown and sold in the USA is a pushover in comparison.
Those who jumped on the bandwagon of "Tax it" and thought that would make everything good are those who forced the hand of a black market. Who wants to pay taxes on a plant you can grow in your own backyard like any other. Do you pay taxes on homegrown tomatoes, beans, squash, corn or other? No, they are free. Weed is free if you grow it yourself and if you can buy it at a store for recreatonal use you should be able to grow it. Anyone can brew their own beer or make their own wine. Lot's of folks still make their own liquor. It is absurd to think we shouldn't be able to make our own alcohol/grow weed because the federal government says "no".
Weed is the next one to tackle. It's funny how some folks think everyone should be a tee totaler because they are. Temperance is wasted effort, especially when people are trying to escape the grasp of reality.
If it can't be made legal across the board, decriminalization is the only real way to go with it.
