For all the expense and difficulty in setting up voter IDs only weeks before the election, do we have any statistics regarding voter ID fraud? How prevalent is it and what has its impact been? I assume the movement for voter ID is based on due diligence of the facts.
Statistics on voter fraud are hard to come by because Democrats typically do not prosecute voter fraud in the large jurisdictions where it occurs, like the City of Milwaukee.
If the local watering hole can implement Voter ID to serve alcohol, I'm sure the efficient, omnipotent and benevolent government entities that run elections can manage as well. Or are you saying government can only run stuff like nationalized health care and the welfare state?
"Soon after taking office in 2011, Gessler, a longtime Republican election lawyer, claimed there were 16,000 noncitizens registered to vote in Colorado. Soon after, he said he identified 11,805 people as potentially fraudulent voters because they used noncitizen identification for drivers’ licenses with which they registered to vote. Those figures, he said, backed up his claims that there was a “gaping hole” in the state’s voting system. But Gessler’s numbers were off — way off – even as he alerted a congressional panel about Colorado’s purported rash of voter fraud. Several county clerks, the officials who actually carry out elections, were skeptical about Gessler’s voter fraud figures, saying they didn’t add up. They asked for specifics. The Secretary of State’s office used a federal database to run names of voters it deemed to be suspicious. Gessler’s staff identified 155 noncitizens who were registered to vote. Among them, 35 people — out of 3.5 million registered voters statewide — had cast ballots. That’s .001 percent of Colorado’s voting population."
Perhaps you too could come up with something supporting this rampant voter fraud that conservatives love to tout. I'll wait...
The only thing that keeps our country a democracy is voting. Your statistics about most DAs in large cities are liberals is another made up whopper! Lets base our country on truth, intelligence, and democracy. Were voter IDs required by our founding fathers?
Holy heck!!!!! You owe me a monitor...lol...just spit out my drink....
Did you not vote for the current administration, and you say the bolded part above?
Of course you never read it...so it does not exist...
A poll worker? How would an ID have stopped her if she would have been the one checking IDs?
