True. There is this to consider. When someone makes this kind of accusation, and there is no proof behind it, this can be concluded from it.

1) Deep-seated anger at women being in positions of power.
2) Deep-seated anger at the President.

Actually posted an articcle the other day in a similar thread where obama was getting pressure to choose a woman after assigning a number of administraion jobs to men. To appease his woman's vote he appointed JP.

Reuters
"The Secret Service has been criticized for having an insular, male-dominated culture, and Pierson's appointment also comes as Obama fends off criticism that his second-term picks for high-level posts have not included enough women and minority candidates."

I think its obvious by showing that it is as an agency the Secret Service is not willing to fulfill its basic function to provide basic security duty for the President the Secret Service as an agency needs to be relieved of that duty. Military special operating counter intelligence forces should be handed the duty so if the agents decide its okay to be in dereliction of duty they would face a military court martial with the possibility of a lenghty prison term to deter dereliction of duty. A Secret Service agent in the same situation will in most cases only face job termination with the possibility of the job termination being overturned in arbitration in favor of job suspension for a period of time as punishment for such transgressions.

What makes you think the Secret Service is above any other companies in the US on hiring practices ? I see it daily, and the sad thing is us worker bee's just go along with it. Sure there is no way to prove it, but to deny that people get hired by their race and or gender to fill a "spot" in today's workplace is just being clueless.

That does not prove that she was an Affirmative Action candidate. All it proves is that the secret service was male dominate. Show me more solid evidence than this.

I think gender played a role in her promotion, but that is not the same thing as affirmative action.

The prostitution incident in Columbia is an example of something that might be more likely to occur under a male dominated organization. Hiring a female executive might help correct that culture.

I think Pierson simply wasn't good at the job of running the Secret Service. There is plenty of evidence of that.

She has 30 years experience under 5 presidents.

Guess you have not considered her predeseccor, a male appointed in 2006. Under his watch, bullets were fired at the White House and the SS dismissed it as car backfire. 4-5 days later a WH maid discovered broken window glass in the WH.

Then there were the uninvited guests at a state dinner at the WH.

Do the homework and you will find jaw dropping gaps in White House security over serious decades.

If this is the case, then this should negate any accusations of affirmative action. Accusations such as that, to me, reveal deeper problems within certain individuals, such as anger.

Being bad at one's job is simply that, being bad at the job.
