The Boy Scouts of America, one of the nation’s largest private youth organizations, is actively considering an end to its decades-long policy of banning gay scouts or scout leaders, according to scouting officials and outsiders familiar with internal discussions.

If adopted by the organization’s board of directors, it would represent a profound change on an issue that has been highly controversial -- one that even went to the US Supreme Court. The new policy, now under discussion, would eliminate the ban from the national organization’s rules, leaving local sponsoring organizations free to decide for themselves whether to admit gay scouts.
Membership is probably lagging and who knows they will probably evolve into a hook up club for young gay males.
Oh well, like the article states "largest private youth organization", so they can do as they wish.

I agree, it will change the nature of their organization and the values they hold.
Being an Eagle Scout at one time meant something, about one's character, integrity and values.
Should this change take place, the children who do not understand these things and believe accept me as I am with no discipline, no integrity, not character or you are a bad person will pass these values on to future generations.
Basically the Boy Scouts are dead.

This idea has been kicked around for a couple decades now and it always fails for exactly the same reason: The vast majority of scout troops are run by churches. The BSA cannot afford to bite the hand that feeds them and if lawmakers force them to do so anyways, churches will abandon the Boy Scouts in droves. It will break the back of the program. The BSA would undoubtedly survive, but only as a much smaller entity. Well over half of current Boy Scout troops would disappear overnight.
Whether you agree or disagree, that is reality. The BSA simply can't afford to offer up widespread acceptance of gays.

This is part of the Leftist Gay Agenda- to destroy those valued mainstream institutions that the Leftist fringe fear and loathe. Destroying the nuclear family via chuch and marriage was the first, now they want their perverted lifestyle 'tolerated' everywhere, especially where children congregate so that they can be groomed earlier into accepting Man/Boy Love.

But what about all the homosexuals in the Boy Scouts who keep who they are a closely guarded secret and say "Hell, no", when asked, "Are you a homosexual"?
