Permafrost below the surface melting rapidly in Alaska.

Quote:

This video adapted from Spanner Films describes the effects of changes to
permafrost, the frozen layer of soil and ice that underlies much of Alaska,
caused by a warming climate. Permafrost, some of which has persisted since the
last ice age, more than 10,000 years ago, is melting rapidly. In affected areas,
this has led to building and road damage, shrinking lakes, rapidly eroding river
banks, and the disappearance of some wildlife, including fish. Scientists such
as Gunter Weller, who is featured in the video, suggest that these changes will
continue to worsen unless society reduces its use of fossil fuels.

"Permafrost, some of which has persisted since the last ice age". This means that before the last ice age it did not exist. So, who exactly was around using fossil fuels before the last ice age?

I am really tired of being told over and over again that the only reason the climate of the world is changing is because of fossil fuels when records clearly indicate that the earth has been a heck of a lot hotter in the past than it is now.

It's 20 and snowing out right now where I live, so this is irrelevant.

As the world turns........earth is dynamic, what do you expect will happen as a result? stability perhaps but not necessarily for the benefit of man, which is not on the earth's agenda.

Just like Gruber made millions helping to sell Obamacare to "stupid Americans" there are people making millions by selling "Climate Change" to "stupid Americans".

Got to love when the very people they support call them "stupid Americans".

...and I'm tired of those that indicate the earth has been warmer in the past, we know, we know, the question is the why part and no one has been able to indicate exactly why. The theory that the earth was warm before so we know that will be the case again is a rather large leap of faith. We know tides rise and fall, we can predict the sunset/sunrise, what physical phenomena makes you believe this is cyclic.

Permafrost melting after 10,000 years is a large indicator of climate change some still will not even admit that the earth is warming.

Some really well thought out intellectual responses, no surprise.
