My church maintains a food bank. There is no reason that mulim churches couldn't do the same.

As far as food pantries are concerned, they're in the same boat anyone with dietary restrictions is in. They can pick through what is there and take what meets their dietary guidelines. If it needs to be prayed over, then I'm sure they can find someone in their religion to do that.

I mean God, this is NOTHING to the crazy orthodoxy the Religious Right seeks to impose on US citizens everyday.
Really? What "crazy orthodoxy" does the religious right seek to impose on people? I can't think of anything. I mean sure the religious right opposes gay marriage and abortion, but those are societal issues in general, not religious orthodoxy.

I live in a very multicultural area and we don't seem to be having these issues. Hmm.
The Muslims here are mostly Somalis. They aren't bad people, but we have so many White guilt stricken Progressives here that are afraid to say no, that the Somalis/Muslims are going to just keep pushing & pushing since Minnesotans are so weak.

During the gay marriage resolution it was the Somalis who fought most ardently against gay marriage. That was kind of fun to watch as the Progressives couldn't understand why the Somalis, who they have supported so proudly would do that to them? Easy, they're just using you because you're weak & they hate your lifestyle.

The Somalis were refusing to pick up fares at the Minneapolis/St Paul airport that were carrying bottles of alcohol from duty-free, looked gay, or had any type of dog. Several lawsuits later they have been forced to comply. This was another one that had the local Progressives up in arms.

The Somalis have implemented segregation of some public school cafeterias & want all of them segregated so that females may not eat with males. It's another issue that the Progressives can't get their heads around. Point blank the Muslims here believe women are inferior, end of discussion.

The local Somalis have called for a ban on all pork in public school cafeterias. They haven't gained much traction here yet, but have gotten that passed in other areas like California.

Classes must stop mid-session to allow the Somalis to prey in the classrooms. It's another paradox for the local Progressives. They don't dare say no to the Muslims for fear of not appearing PC, but at the same time they hate religion so much, Christianity specifically that it's a real kick in the nuts when all classes have to stop several times daily for the Muslims can prey in class.

At one local High School a few years back they had such budget constraints that they laid off teachers, increased class sizes, discontinued the football program, etc. And then put that money into building foot washing stations at the entrance to the school so Muslims can wash their feet.

Again, these local Somalis aren't bad people, but they have no interest in integrating into our society & have targeted an especially weak demographic who are afraid to say no to them. They will continue to push & push until someone finally tells them "no", but no one here has the stones to say it.

Now Muslims in America are demanding that food banks provide food that abide by Islamic sharia law, not just not including pork but being prayed over by an Islamic sheikh. There are also stories of Muslim business owners banning people with guide dogs because dogs are "unclean" in Islamic culture. There are also many Muslims who refuse to use alcohol based hand sanitizer and Muslims in Britain have demanded that KFC there stop providing alcohol based hand wipes because that insults Islam.
Can we send these people back to Somalia? Why are we bringing these dependent tyrants into our country?

I agree with this "“Human rights”? Seriously? Their arrogance and self-entitlement has to be unprecedented for a group on the public dole.

This doesn't bother me. Their business, their rule. They might want to check their local laws and see if banning guide dogs is illegal. If it is not illegal, then feel free to do whatever they want to do in their own little world. As long as they are aware of the fact that they may lose business over it, their businesses, their rules. (as long as it is legal)

They, like all the rest of the unfortunates, that need food banks can demand anything they want. That does not mean they will get it. Remember "beggars cannot be choosers".
