Always want someone else to do your homework?

The United States asserts jurisdiction to tax foreign corporations only if they are engaged in business in the United States or receive income from sources within the United States. Not just that but name one time in American history, just one time, where increasing the tax rate actually increased the amount of money collected by the US treasury.

Then there is the section on controlled foreign corporations... pretty lengthy and complex.

A better question is why does jojajn ask about the right wing wanting more tax cuts for the wealthy when the Republicans voted in favor of letting the Bush tax cuts on the upper income earners expire and the Republican platform for the last election was no reduction of the tax burden on the rich?

Why do you misrepresent what the right wing wants? Do you feel that the left wing's policies are so weak that they can't compete without lying about the right wing? Shouldn't you be able to win against the right wing without needing to use dishonesty?

Are you talking about a different Republican party than the one in the USA? Under the Romney/Ryan plan the wealthiest Americans would pay no taxes. So, where in the world do you get your info?

Tax hikes always hurt he economy. The wealthy will survive; they would just put more of their money in tax-free investments. The middle class would suffer the most.

"Always" is too broad of a term. Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Obama have all raised rates.

Actually, there were more loopholes. Back then you could even claim the interest owed on a department store credit card.

Also, after the Reagan (and Bush) tax cuts, the wealthy were actually paying more, by percent, in taxes than they were before.
