Many houses are not on the beachfront.. the water came in to areas never flooded before . Blocks and blocks of homes ruined by the flood of Superstorm sandy. In NJ it was a direct hit.

I was one block from the flood water and consider myself very fortunate not to get any flood damage. .

Just sounds to me that some people in NJ thinks that FEMA should pay for the hurricane damage to their homes...I had a lot of damage to my home from hurricane Ike and what my insurance did not pay I had to pay myself....
The government is bailing out the banks, why not give a small interest loan to the elderly who can't get a loan.. People should come first.. no money to be found to help those who want to get back into their homes.

He did answer the question and he agreed to meet with the person to discuss it but the "heckler" just wanted to disrupt the town hall meeting.

This isn't true. The media made a big deal because Christie was in a commercial that urged people to come down to the jersey shore to help the recovery effort, which was completely appropriate.

And so is the protestor.

I believe in standing up for your rights but I also believe in not being rude.

No, he did not agree to 'meet with the person'. Christie said he would at a later time, but when Mr. Keady said, 'how 'bout tonight' -- Christie said no very rudely.

Don't write checks you aren't willing to cash, governor. Of course, his problem is he's not even writing checks at the moment.

Yep, he was in a commercial using federal money and it was right during election season. It also doesn't help that Christie picked the commercial that costed more and featured him.

That was an reelection commercial and you know it.

Yeah it was, that commercial had nothing to do with the storm and all to do with focusing on how great Christie was. He used Sandy victims for his own personal gain.

Hate is a very powerful word.

All Presidents have handled hecklers in their own way.

Even Obama told his own supporters to sitdown and shut up, when they questioned him on not closing Gitmo.
