The GOP are the ones accusing black people of being "On the plantation" and only voting for Obama because they wanted handouts.
The conservatives are the ones calling anyone who shows even marginal support for Obama "Obots" and referring to him as "Your messiah" or "Dear leader"

Is there that much to hide from the light? We knew everything about every other POTUS to date. All we know of BHO is he was in the Choom Gang and smoked weed every day. Big deal, any politician over 50 and under 75 has. His school records and other personal matters are the true meat and potatoes people want to know of.
Who is the guy in the WH? We all had access to the previous guys lives and detailed account of anything they did from infants on. They all had childhood lives and previous careers. Some were ranchers, owned baseball teams, governors, actors... you name it and we knew about it.

The point Driller1 was making was that Obama told you how these 6 years were going to go. He was kind of transparent about it. His books told you, his trickery to get into the Illinois senate told you, and his campaign told you. Nobody listened because all they saw was the articulate black guy.

Same thing here. Obama's resume was essentially blank, or at least blank enough that it matched that of maybe 2-3 million college grads who hadn't done much in the real world by the time they hit 40, making it totally unremarkable in every way. He was the blank slate onto which you could place your dreams and hopes. Half black when needed, half white when needed, all resume fluff, no substance. We got too busy looking at the pinstripes.
That's the point of Obama. He's ordinary, average, and not really all that qualified for the job he currently holds, but he's black, and black is apparently enough.
