As a somewhat younger guy, it's a shame Romney and Ryan didn't win. They would have passed health savings accounts legislation that would have been sustainable and wonderful for people under 50.
Why is that. You are a young guy who wants to screw over your mom and dad. What a great son you are Most elderly are on fixed incomes and can't afford the enormous costs of health care. My dad's arthritis shots cost over $1000 a month. There is no way he could afford that with medicare.

So, in your fairy world I want my Grandmother to die, I suppose.

Who is the insensitive dolt in this conversation? Tolerant much? To reduce Americans to YOUR STATE and MY STATE? WTF is wrong with you?

Please come back to the adult table in a few years sweety

So you support getting the .gov out of healthcare but support govt health coverage for your grandmother. How convenient.

It's why I can't take many of the rights position on health care seriously.

What's wrong with using the free market for Medicare? What happened to your "Amen!" for that? According to you, putting it on the free market will cause prices to fall like a boulder in spring.

And if my state has a solid health care coverage exchange, why would I want a bunch of people moving there when they got sick? They should hold their governors responsible in their own state, not come running to mine.

But it would be more affordable if the govt stayed out of the way and the private market took over for health coverage, wouldn't you agree?

No, because the private market would take advantage just like insurances companies do.

Why would a capitalist want to charge less and spend more to provide better or more comprehensive services? Don't be silly, he wouldn't unless he wants to have a date in bankruptcy court. Even a Comrade understands this fundamental aspect of Capitalism! Do you?

This, on all points.

Mediwelfare and Social Security is young people paying the welfare tab of old people. It's fine if I choose to care for the elderly in my own family, but uncool if I use government thugs to make the rest of you contribute to that effort. Our worst two national oppressions, and almost half of every dollar spent by our government. Kill them both dead imho.

Public school should be a local, community decision, and it should reach exactly no higher than that for any school ever. Compulsory attendance should be banned immediately.

If not, why? How do you justify one and not the other? Would you also like to end public schools?
Medicare is an insurance policy that we all pay into. It doesn't cover all expenses by any means and no I do not support repelling it, but I do think, like SS the age to receive benefits will need to be raised soon to keep it afloat.

It is obvious by your question and comment you will try and tie this into Obamacare: not the same, end of story.

How so? It's mandatory, everyone participates, it's government health coverage and it has certain restrictions. The difference? The older generation LOVE their Medicare. Oh, they eat it up, they can't wait to start collecting. But health care coverage for the rest? The older generation says that's socialism. It's complete hypocrisy and it makes me sick.

Unfortunately it also makes me look forward to the passing of the older generation because they are so gluttonous when it comes to themselves.

I like how you support an increase in age, but if it had affected you, you would flip. I want to see the older generation actually be impacted by the cuts they vote for. Especially considering when Medicare began, no one had paid a penny into it.

I also see you have nothing to say about Medicare Part D. Would you like to end that? That's another program the gluttonous older generation love and voted for themselves.

For you Republicans that have voted to end Medicare, I appreciate your integrity. You really believe and support what you're voting for. I may not agree with it, but I believe you're sincere.

For you Republicans that vote to keep Medicare for yourselves, I think you are no different than the "welfare queens" you love to complain about. Especially considering Medicare is paying about three times the benefits you put in and that's not even including Medicare Part D. You are takers.
