True. The difference is so minimal between the Bronze plans and the catastrophic plans. The much higher premiums don't justify any of it.

I did numerous financial comparisons on plans last year and what I concluded is that, if you have a serious illness or accident, it does not matter much whether you chose a platinum, a bronze or even a catastrophic plan. Your out of pocket is roughly the same (within 10% or so). With the platinum plans, you have no or low deductibles and limited out of pocket but you pay them up front in monthly premiums. For people who are reasonably healthy it makes more sense to just go with a bronze or catastrophic. Don't let the deductibles and out of pocket limits scare you. It is unlikely that you will ever pay more for them than you would for premiums in a better plan. Then again.... It's risk tolerance. Unfortunately, the less well to do have to take more risk, but the odds are in their favor if they are otherwise healthy.

Those of you with issues or complaints about Obamacare evidently are not aware that famous smart person Jonathon Gruber studied all this very carefully, and designed everything for your benefit even though you are too stupid to understand it, or even appreciate it.

Gullible people are going to be rushing in, of course. I don't think they ever met last years goals, and now that we have been Grubered, that will likely have an effect. But I think Gruber was primarily talking about the stupidity of liberals, since most Americans were not "sold" on Obamacare. It was literally shoved down the throats of the American people. And, it is just about to collapse on it's own.

Those who say, "There is no free lunch," and "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is," are right. Obamacare is the perfect example of these truths.

Keep cheering for your side, Bob, and keep spreading the propaganda. Look where it got you this election.

Doesn't matter. They knew they were coming, and their old rate hikes did the job of souring the voters against the ACA and Democrats who forced it on them.
"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period."
"If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period."
"Most families will see up to a $2,500.00 annual savings." [Gruber probably told him this.]

There isn't anything good, nor honest, about the ACA. Apparently you have missed the Gruber tapes.

Ok, if thats the plan you support, you go for it.
Gruber was right. Some people are very stupid.

Obamacare 2015: Higher costs, higher penalties - CBS News

I would think you would not want to advertise the=is Bob, it looks bad for your idols.
Just a reminder of the crap that is the ACA.

"With the Affordable Care Act to start enrollment for its second year on Nov. 15, some unpleasant surprises may be in store for some.

That's because a number of low-priced Obamacare plans will raise their rates in 2015, making those options less affordable. On top of that, penalties for failing to secure a health-insurance plan will rise steeply next year, which could take a big bite out of some families' pocketbooks.

"The penalty is meant to incentivize people to get coverage," said senior analyst Laura Adams of InsuranceQuotes.com. "This year, I think a lot of people are going to be in for a shock."

In 2014, Obamacare's first year, individuals are facing a penalty of $95 per person, or 1 percent of their income, depending on which is higher. If an American failed to get coverage this year, that penalty will be taken out of their tax refund in early 2015, Adams noted.

While that might be painful to some uninsured Americans who are counting on their tax refunds in early 2015, the penalty for going uninsured next year is even harsher. The financial penalty for skipping out on health coverage will more than triple to $325 per person in 2015, or 2 percent of income, depending on whichever is higher. Children will be fined at half the adult rate, or $162.50 for those under 18 years old."

Fining children? Screwing over the middle class? Obama! F*** yeah!

Maybe Obama really was in China recently arranging for Child Labor for them to pay it off.
