The legacy of slavery. As I read this, I realized how liberals have destroyed the family unit.

Anyone who thinks slavery and racism were either a purely Democrat or purely Republican issue/legacy are delusional. Racism was rampant on both sides of the aisle and was considered acceptable by the general population, and different political parties were for and against it at different times, mostly depending on how political winds were blowing.

you know what... you're right. Blacks should be grateful for white conservatives spending the last 300+ years trying to prevent us from getting equal civil rights.

Political parties are irrelevant. This thread was about liberals. Liberalism vs. Conservatism. Conservatives have done everything in their power to prevent blacks, women, and now gays from achieving equal civil rights.

You complain it's too hard to get a voter ID like everyone else can. How can anyone expect you to do anything hard like others have to. You are your own worst enemy,. Keep acting helpless!

I love how right wingers try to pin slavery on liberals. It is a really funny and misguided rewrite of American history.

hmmm... should we even bother discussing with people who clearly never learned American history?

Embarrassing. I guess more cuts to education will create more loyal conservative voters.
