Well, seeing as you graciously gives me the choice: I don't believe it. The AFA massively overestimates its clout. Always has.
You may want to check out their social media pages, and actually work at their stores to notice the difference. Believe me there are many people out there who take all of this serious. Ever wonder why there is war on Christmas and all the political correctness and fight?

Ehm - how about no? If you want to make the case, make it. If not, cool.

The exact claim was "millions" who boycotted stores.

Because right-wing media spokesholes make money on telling their flocks they're being victimized. Stores would ask their associates to say "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" if it added as much as one percentage point to sales.

Interesting take from Business Insider on this laughable "war on Christmas".

As the number of Americans who understand what it means to live in an increasing pluralistic country continues to grow, those faithful to the Fox News brand of Christianity – and its need to be ever dominant and combative around the holidays – will continue to look ever more foolish and out of touch.
Is this whole thread an advertisement for AFA's store? Their own online store is at the top of their list, and highlighted as well. Seems fraudulent and misleading.
You may be shocked but Hanukkah is a minor holiday and regular working days for Jews (even Orthodox). In Israel few people even celebrate it. It's only in America and few other places where they brought the importance of the minor holiday due to not being left alone during Christmas season, particularly for Jewish kids. Only 1.7% of Americans observe Hanukkah anyway, and it's a regional thing really.
I know Passover has greater religious significance. I have been to Seders, helped with the traditional meal, and said the prayers with the family.
Yes, I agree that Hanukkah probably evolved more as a substitute for Jewish children to replace Christmas, Santa, and presents. One present for each day of Hanukkah? Is that religious? Sorry, that I do not know.
Office Max, Office Depot, and Staples are on the Naughty List?
Well I guess NO ONE IS GETTING PAPER CLIPS FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!
It's not about buying for Christmas, it's the avoidance of the holiday completely, such as no Christmas decorations, no mention of the word 'Christmas'' etc.
