All liberals vs. all conservatives? That would be a logistical nightmare. Why don't we just narrow it down to a few hundred champions each? Say 500 on each side in a large space fighting to the death. Last man standing wins his side's complete control of the country. Of course this is 2014, so the match has to be televised.
Usually when you have the two parties can't get along on anything and country is tanking, you have actual physical sparring, punching, shooting, sword fighting to see which side wins so that there can be an end resolve rather than waiting years of waiting
