Right after raising tuition 5 percent.
All I can say I she must have imparted some real nuggets of wisdom.

Expensive speakers bring in money and lend prestige, which also brings in money.

That's why PACs, colleges, and fund raisers of all kinds pay the high fees. Those who command the highest fees have a solid record of delivering the greatest returns.

UCLA didn't bring in Hillary out of the goodness of their Chancellor's hearts. They did it because there was a bigger payoff somewhere in doing so than what her fee was. The money she received didn't come out of the university's general fund. Tuition didn't pay for a cent of it- big donors to UCLA had her fee covered before she arrived, or she would not have appeared at all.
That's the way it always works; political speakers are in no way similar to rock bands or entertainers who travel the college circuits.

You can be sure that all those $10,000 a plate dinners that happen in a campaign year don't serve only expensive exotic food. (But at that price, the food IS always excellent.) The same is true with all similar events.

Let's just say that the janitor who cleaned up after the speech was paid $15 an hour and it took him 8 hours.

That's $120.

Hillary made 2,500 times what the average employee made that night.

How can she sleep at night?

You justify this by saying "it's good politics".

Has it occurred to you that "good politics" are horrible policy?

Colleges are the wolfpack that follows the buffalo herd for food scraps. That is why academia is no longer trusted in regard to 'science'. Science has been perverted into coin of the realm by universities as they dance to the tune of federal grants.

HRC was just collecting money to redistribute to the poor middle class. Where else can HRC get paid so well other than the dem backed edu community. Quid pro quo at its best!

Yes. Academia has been totally discredited by radio talk show hosts when it comes to science.
