I don't understand why people freak out so much about a trans* person using the bathroom of the gender they identify with. You want know what trans* people do in the bathroom?? The same thing as everybody else: they expel waste from their body. They aren't going in there to assault you.

The amount of transphobic comments on this thread is the only thing that is disgusting. Trans* people are humans. Quit reducing them to their genetalia and start treating them like a fellow human being. Transphobic views, like the ones in this thread, are the reason the suicide rate for trans* people is way above average.

How long have you guys been on Earth?

Anyone remember NDEs? Alien Abductions? Star Children? Indigo Children?

How about Calhoun's rat study?

Dominant males became aggressive, some moving in groups, attacking females and the young. Mating behaviors were disrupted. Some became exclusively homosexual. Others became pansexual and hypersexual, attempting to mount any rat they encountered. Mothers neglected their infants, first failing to construct proper nests, and then carelessly abandoning and even attacking their pups. In certain sections of the pens, infant mortality rose as high as 96%, the dead cannibalized by adults. Subordinate animals withdrew psychologically, surviving in a physical sense but at an immense psychological cost. They were the majority in the late phases of growth, existing as a vacant, huddled mass in the center of the pens. Unable to breed, the population plummeted and did not recover. The crowded rodents had lost the ability to co-exist harmoniously, even after the population numbers once again fell to low levels. At a certain density, they had ceased to act like rats and mice, and the change was permanent.

[emphasis mine]

Sources:

Calhoun, J. B. 1963. The Ecology and Sociology of the Norway Rat. Bethesda, MD: U.S. Department of Health, Education & Welfare.

Pines, M. 1971. “How the social organization of animal communities can lead to a population crisis which destroys them,” in Julius Segal (ed.) National Institute of Mental Health; Mental Health Reports – 5; U.S. Department of Health Education & Welfare.

That was Calhoun's "rat utopia" or "mouse paradise" that turned into a living hell.

Why not?

If you're going to do anything, then why do it half-fast?

Those who claim to be transgender, need to put their money where their mouth is and go the whole 9-yards.

Humanly...

Mircea
Comparing a rat study to Transgenderism as is they are so similar is ridiculous. You and the other transphobic posters getting rather desperate with your defense on this topic.

Your obsession with the genitalia of others--children, in this case--is concerning. A trans girl or woman using the ladies' room goes into a stall, generally sits down, does her business, washes her hands, and leaves. There is absolutely no way that poses a threat to your rights and privacy except in your imagination.

In schools that have adopted a policy of equality there have been no increase in reports of harassment or inappropriate behavior. Claiming otherwise, especially without proof, is grasping at straws to support bigotry.
BS!!

If that person has a tallywhacker, he is a boy and no amount of doubletalk will change the biology. I don't give a crap how screwed up a person is in the head, a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl.

End of this ridiculous argument!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The main problem these loons have is that they don't want to see these people as human beings. Seems like a lot them would rather dehumanize them or try to make them feel bad. Their getting all upset and freaking out because Obama said to "respect transgenders". It really shows we still have a long way to in this country when it comes to tolerance. Transgenders represent a very small percentage of the population but yet get so much hate in this country.

You might have a point after this but I didn't read it because of the way you intentionally worded it. Who said anything about anyone harassing them?

Which they should do.

This isn't about being straight or homosexual. This is about transgenderism.

Then let's say that normal people have feelings also. Or are you promoting that transgenders are now the new normal?

My point is still the same and you didn't address it. (I didn't want to use "normal")
