"In the six and a half minutes after Peter Liang discharged a single bullet that struck Gurley, 28, he and his partner couldn't be reached, sources told the Daily News. And instead of calling for help for the dying man, Liang was texting his union representative."

EXCLUSIVE: Cop texted union rep as Akai Gurley lay dying - NY Daily News

Someone in the building finally called 911 to get an ambulance for the victim. The cops didn't have the time--they were much too busy worrying more about themselves than the innocent, unarmed guy they had just shot. They were not even supposed to be there, having been previously ordered not to patrol inside the building.

The cop reportedly panicked after the shoot. But to call his union rep before calling an ambulance? Will anybody defend this?

I'm waiting for someone to say he was probably a thug anyway, so he deserved what he got. And that it was much more important for the cops to cover their assess than it was to call for help for the man they shot and left bleeding on the stairs.

The shooting appears to have been an unfortunate accident. A terrible situation. To your statement, we do not know if he was a thug or not but we do know that he was just released from Rikers Island on Oct. 3 and he has had about two dozen arrests over the past 9 years. In no way do I think he deserved what he got.

I've telling fools around here for years how the major cities have racist policies but get a free pass because they are democratically controlled bastions and the police unions are deeeeep in bed politically with them.

Sharpton & friends aren't going to embarass Rahm Emanuel and call him out because then they don't get to speak at the DNC.

But don't worry. You can always vote for the other party.....bwahahhahahhahahahah.....yeah not really so seriously, you're screwed....you won't cross party lines and you can't rock the boat too much so just stand there and get milked.

Moooooooooooo!

Oh wait, don't forget to blame gun laws! That's a great scapegoat for pushing people into the projects and then underfunding their schools and diversion programs....it's also the OTHER PARTIES FAULT that way!

Lincoln Park Chicago, Austin Chicago neighborhoods. 3 miles apart. Same Laws. Same Chicago Police force.
murders per 100,000 residents annually? 1 in LP, 40ish in Austin. Gee, must be the gun laws fault.

More race baiting from one of the Kings of Race Baiting here on C-D.

Do you get as angry over the Fort Hood killings, and Barack Obama attributing it to "workplace violence." That is just one example of the many other crimes of violence that take place across America that Leftists like you ignore ... but, oh boy ... if it involves a White police officer and a black, we're all over it like white on rice.

Get over your racism and your bias!!! You people who complain the most about racism in America are the most racist! And you delight in fanning the flames of racism and hatred, all in an effort to make yourself look piously innocent and magnanimous.
