There's a good percentage of Americans that believe God is the answer to all of our problems. Or that we don't have to worry about certain things because it's all part of God's plan. Or we need not worry because the rapture is coming.
Take it for what it's worth.
If it turns out God exists, how do you like your chances of getting into heaven when you pass?
GOP lawmaker proposes Obamacare replacement: Rely on Jesus for health care
Gordon Klingenschmitt (R), a state representative in Colorado, is proposing repealing the ACA and in its place, Americans should turn to God for their health care.
"If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you,’” Klingenschmitt said, quoting Exodus 15."
It seems Republicans do have a plan to replace the ACA if they manage to repeal it after all. Good to know.
Even I as an atheist can see that the Lord God has had a better track record of rollouts than Obamacare.
And btw, studies have shown that religious faith does tend to improve health. The jury is out on whether Obamacare does, but I doubt that there is much cause for optimism.
If "relying on God" was a viable healthcare plan, the Southern US should be the healthiest place in the entire world!
