Why should the police in NYC walk off the job? Why did they take the job in the first place if they didn't assume the risks that come with it?

They won't walk off the job because they have food to put on the table and bills to pay.

And why would they walk off the job in the first place? Didn't they become cops to protect people? And they're just gonna leave everybody high and dry?

I don't think it is a stupid thread.

They are being attacked, their mistakes scrutinized, while we give a pass to people who run afoul of the law dozens of times. Maybe we do need a reminder of the good that they do.
