Just in case you missed it, it's the Constitution that says race, gender, and religion don't matter. Good to see the leftists are on the correct (if not the right side), eh?
80% of congress is white(Senate is 94%)
63% of America is white
80% of Congress is male
49% of America is male
92% of congress is Christian
78.5% of congres is Christian
You forgot 80% of congress is made of RICH white men.
If you don't have the millions of dollars it takes to run for office your name
wont even appear on the ballot.
If you give two humans who speak the use the same language and writing system a piece of paper asking for the same very basic information, if one can do it and the other can't, it most likely comes down to either intelligence or ignorance.
Do you believe black people lack the intelligence or are just too ignorant to obtain an ID?
Lack of money can hinder a person from getting an ID.

Is your solution to allow anybody to put their name on the ticket for a Senate seat? Should we go to the polls and see 2,654 names on the ballot for a New York senate seat? Do you have runoffs, and if so, how many?

Exactly, especially when the ID is free.
Lack of time can prevent people who work from getting an ID, you see the DMV is only opening during traditional business hours making it difficult for people with full time jobs to get an ID. Liberals don't really seem to care about the fully employeed being disenfranchised, wonder why that is?
Yes, interesting isn't it? It's the leftists who say that race, gender, and religion don't matter who are the ones who end up being obsessed with what race, gender, and religion a person is.
It is generally uncool and ineffective to be obsessed with what economic or social class a person is.
Grievances related to class often are articulated as race or gender grievances because the class card doesn't work in this country.

Sure why not? Its called democracy. Anyone who is an adult US citizen and doesn't have a
felony record should be allowed to run. Let the voters have real choices.
The more money you have, the more you can spend on advertising and commercials to defeat your opponent.
That's how the system works - generally, the man with the most money wins. That sounds more like a recipe
for aristocracy than democracy to me.

The reason the person with the most money wins is because Americans are too stupid and lazy to research candidates themselves and rely on the media to do it for them.
