How do you know?

IMO, more women than men are swayed by emotional arguments over logical arguments so of course, it affects which type of person is more electable. An intelligent decision maker is almost always going to lose to a good manipulator who is a terrible decision maker. It is what it is.

Looks, charisma, and charm? Guess I won't be voting for Hillary or Elizabeth Warren...

I once asked my mom why she was voting for Edwin Edwards for governor when he was such a crook. Her reply, "he's cute". I do believe physical appearance plays a part in a woman's choice of candidate more than men. TV plays a big part. Before TV, voters would see the candidates through a head shot photo or drawing and read what he had to offer for a platform. With the railroad, some voters could see and listen to him speak from the train before he moved onto the next stop. Would an FDR have gotten elected with his physical disabilities? Would JFK have been elected if not for his youthful looks? Some opposed him just because he was Catholic believing the country would be controlled by the Pope. Some of our past presidents were pretty ugly even by the standards of the time they were elected, but during those times women weren't allowed to vote. If physical appearance doesn't play a part, then why do presidential candidates employ stylist or image consultants to improve the candidate's physical appearance? Doesn't always work though. Anyone remember how John Kerry looked like a wrinkled face dog before his run for president and then his lines suddenly disappeared? Appearance will only go so far. I won't say it's a deciding factor for most women, but it is a factor in the overall decision.

Yes, women most certainly do vote differently than men do. Women may not be swayed more by appearance than men are, but saying women vote no differently than men do is entirely wrong.

I am asking the question to see what you people "think", or if you think at all for that matter.

Congratulations, you have a working brain. Plus one, even though your post and attitude are on the gullible side.

No, YOU said in your OP "it seems...".

That implies that you know or have a strong suspicion that women vote a certain way.

Talk about thinking....

No. Not this woman. But I do see your point.
