I'm not opposed to it, but it will never get through the house and senate...

Hmmm...because people who can't afford children simply wanted to have children selfishly maybe?

Extra mouths to feed? who said you have to have children ? It is ones own responsibility to raise their children successfully. Otherwise, it is irresponsible to bring a human being into this world and expect other people to pay for it. We childless people dont have two incomes. We don't have all these tax credits. We face workplace discrimination inflicted by those who have a family. Where is the government?

Poor baby. I feel your pain.

Tell this to hungry children. I'm sure they'll understand.

There is nothing new in his promise or who he wants to tax to pay for what he proposes. Look at what that has lead to more on dependent govern support with more of same proposed. He is a socialist who wants government to distribute fruits of production which leads to government controls of production by regulation overload.in time its leads to Greece situation just as France is headed. That means elite who are in government are richest class by there control.

Let's be clear: President Obama's proposed tax increase is a thinly veiled tax on Rich White Folk, as there it will fall disproportionately on white people.

Yep, you're right, but you won't convince them until the roof falls in, and then they will be asking why nobody told them...

$500K is not rich. If he would propose it on people earning $50 Million, then I'd agree.

I agree - we desperately need to tighten the qualification criteria for lunch programs so it only benefits, say, 5% of kids.

The highest tax rate was for that portion of AGI greater than $400/450K, not entire Gross Income.

This is the relatively small group that captured 90% of all new income since the 2008 crash. More than half of this income was Capital Gains.

LOL. Stop with this nonsense. The only color the IRS cares about is green.

How many of these people do you think actually paid more in taxes? They have deductions that you and I never even dream of.
