The White House made clear today that it’s accpetable for British Prime Minister David Cameron to lobby Congress against passing Iran sanctions legislation, but it’s not all right for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to do so because he doesn’t agree with the administration’s position.

In the fallout of the latest administration fight with Israel, press secretary Josh Earnest today highlighted Cameron’s visit a week ago in which President Obama and his British counterpart tried to discourage congressional action. Earnest was asked today about that lobbying versus the White House’s anger at Netanyahu’s forthcoming lobbying before a joint session of Congress.

“What we’d prefer is we’d prefer that the Israeli prime minister share the president’s view about our approach to resolving the international community’s concerns about Iran’s nuclear program,” Earnest replied. “He doesn’t share that view."

Funny stuff - they are dancing on the head of a pin. It's perfectly OK for TeamObama to not like Netanyahu, but it's silly to display that to the world and impose different criteria on Allies depending on whether they agree/disagree with Obama.
Many leaders and lobbyists have spoken to congress privately, asking a world leader to formally appear before congress without being invited by a president seems to be a first maybe you have some other examples.

There are quite a few Obama haters that just love the invite but they are putting their hatred in front of common sense, this is not good for the country.

Which country doesn't have blood on its hands ?

Israel to start with ( Several Gaza massacres,Sabra & Chatila ) Germany, France, GB , Russia and many others.
So Iran having blood on its hand is not an excuse to hide Israeli crimes in Palestine.

It's somewhat bizarre that we would invite a foreign head of state into Congress to play different parts of the US government against each other. It is also very strange the person being invited would willfully ignore the White House in the matter. I do not think it has ever happened before. I'd be surprised if it happened in any country.

I do not think it is good for Israel either.

Obama was asked what his definition of sin is. He said those that are not aligned with my values.

Another useless excuse that has no link with the subject, we don't want both, just to rectify your lie, illegals and islamists don't get money and armement from the US government.

Illegals and Islamist don't steal land and build illegal settlements using US taxpayers.
Illegals and Islamist don't occupy illegally a country like Palestine since 1948.
Illegals and Islamist don't manage prisons for kids and concentration camps for palestinians using US money.
Do you see the difference between the welfare-state of Israel and Illegals & islamists ?

Personally, I am not bothered by that.

That is a silly post. It's like saying the largest number of penguins outside Antarctica is the US - living in zoos ... or the largest number of Jews in Southeast Asia live in Thailand. The fact is nearly 1 million Jews fled Arab countries after Israel gained independence.

There are more Iranian Jews living in Israel and the US than those remaining in Iran.

Besides Israel and the US the largest Jewish populations live in France, Canada, the UK, Argentina, Russia, Germany, Brazil, Australia. Iran is something like #29 down the list.

Sabra & Shatila was not a massacre created by the IDF but a crusade performed by Christian extremist in response to the assassination of Bashir Gameyal for almost composing a peace treaty with Israel. In fact, Israel tried to stop it by intervening (Which other Arab nations ignored). But of course it started with Arab vs Arab violence, and the rejection of Israel under any compromise resorts in death, i.e. Gameyal, Sadat,,

The Gaza strip has nobody to blame other than Hamas who rejects a peaceful compromise and puts arm an armed struggle for Allah.

Nothing wrong with him speaking. What are Dems so afraid of us hearing?

Sounds to me that it's Obama and dems once again trying to silence anyone who doesn't agree with Obama.
