Remember that little war in Yugoslavia where Orthodox Serbs and Catholic Croats tried to basically exterminate the Muslim population of Bosnia?

That WAS a religious war, and the clergy on both sides encouraged and gave it their blessing.

And that wasn't 800 years ago either.

Obama is delusional. Valerie needs to ask him each morning, his name, where he thinks he is and the current day, month and year.

How much further removed from the pulse of the nation can this man get?????

To watch and listen to Susan Rice explain obama, is to watch a replay of Tariq Aziz announce the Iraqi army is defeating the invading US forces while US marines mug for the camera behind him.

Past presidents always made the news when they had a yearly physical. Has anyone examined obama since he has been in office?

I'm still working through this thread - good point about "Blame Bush", but give him time. Not even close to any "Maturity" yet. I notice that the Crusades and the Inquisition are relevant to Obama and his Parrots .... while the Benghazi Massacre is "Old News".

You just can't make this stuff up.

Not really, that would be a mistake, bombing is as far as it should go.

Both Bush and Obama haven't figured out who is really friend or foe and how that shifts over time in the area.

The players in the middle east need to deal with it on their own. Look at the colossal waste of time, money and lives it took to train the cowardly Iraqi army.

These people are stuck in the stone age. Any resources sent to them will be wasted on tribal feuding and corruption.

What we don't need is excuses for these backwards people or their violent religion.

How you came to your conclusion is beyond logic and common sense. Which religion do you think he is referring to when talking about ISIS?
One does not know, does one, because he NEVER uses the words Islam or Muhammad in connection with ISIS or any other terrorist act that has been committed in the name of Muhammad. He was fine talking about the Crusades being done "in the name of Christ," but he seems to be constitutionally unable to say that, for example, the "Jordanian pilot was burned alive in the name of Muhammad." It is obvious to all but the willfully ignorant that everything ISIS does is done in the name of Muhammad.

Yet Obama the is on the record stating "I will stand with Islam." My conclusion is that his inability to speak forthrightly about these atrocities being committed in the name of Muhammad or under the name of Islam is his way of standing with Islam. That he would stand with them in spite of these atrocities is in itself atrocious.

Sounds like you would have been a strong supporter of Neville Chamberlain then.

Make no mistake, ISIS will bring their atrocities to our shores if given the chance. Perhaps you'd like wait until they detonate an Iranian nuke in one of our cities before we respond?

I agree with most of what you're saying.

However, it's easy to call people backwards and violent from your first world perch.

Incessant foreign meddling in Arab and Muslim affairs is a huge part of the backdrop in that part of the world.

The United States, England, Russia and France made a mess of it...and now we're reaping what we've sown. We fed the jihadists in Afghanistan when we thought it was cute. Now it ain't so cute anymore.

This is why we need to get outta there and let them determine their own outcome.

But I'm sticking to my belief that for a huge number of conservatives, nothing less than a full ground troop war against ISIS will suffice.

Obama isn't Chamberlain, this ain't 1938, nor is Iraq Poland or Czechoslovakia.

ISIS is coming to these shores on what? Amphibious Assault vehicles? Armed with an Iranian nuke?

Geez...you folks and your hyperbole.
