This is Obama's chance to have a legacy. I think he will go down like J. Carter and the next president will have to take them on. The truth is that the US could wipe out 95% of ISIS in a week if we wanted to. So, is he a coward? A muslim sympathizer? Or just an average liberal?

He's the average liberal. His ideology keeps him from being an effective president.

But we don't have to.

And I doubt he's a coward - he has nothing personal to lose in this one way or the other and I don't think he's a Muslim sympathizer because other Muslims are getting killed there. The war is largely Muslim vs. Muslim. For those who don't like Muslims, this is a win, yes?

[so why would you want us to get involved?]

A libertarian woukd rule out fighting, so I am not sure what it makes Obama considering the fact that he chose to fight, and is asking for additional authority to step it up.

It was announced yesterday that the President is expected to ask Congress for authorization to use more force.

Back when, the Bush Admin said it could take care of business in the Middle East in a few weeks or months. They also said they could do so on a revenue neutral basis.

The majority of Congress gave it the green light based on the information provided at the time.

Actual spending was not budgeted. Instead it was all one big ole emergency appropriation/ deficit spending . The US will likely never pay off unless it raises taxes. Rince/ repeat.

How did that work out?

We need to get good and comfortable because once we go back in, we'll be there forever.

Just curious. Have you enlisted?
