I don't think he's saying they aren't Muslim. It's quite obvious they are. But he has a responsibility to the Muslims who are also citizens of this country (and not necessarily of ME origin) to not incite hatred toward them as a whole.

The Muslims that are also American deserve consideration too. If they join ISIS or support the radical, violent barbarians in any way then that's a different matter. But the majority will do no such thing, and it must be really scary to be them right now.

So, the below description is not clear to you?

ISIS is a brutal, vicious death cult that commits unspeakable acts of barbarism, and pretend to stand up for islam

I have an Aunt, Uncle, and cousins that are practicing Muslims, along with coworkers, they haven't expressed a whole lot of worry or concern with respect to other Americans. None would move back to the middle east either.

Sounds like a good description to me but ISIS appears to practice Islam more closely to the way that Mohammad did then modern moderate Muslims do. They go straight to verses of the Quran with most everything they do. That sounds like more then pretending.

That fits in perfectly with his admirable decision to keep religion out of politics.

The largest Muslim country is Indonesia, not Egypt.

Overwhelmingly in favor of wanting to know the Religion of Radicals and the religion of the people they kill. No big surprise.
