Really? For a liberal cesspool, it is quite nice here. Heck, the weather has been down right amazing this winter. Though you are also just assuming that my perspective is only that of Portland, which you would be incorrect if you think that is my only connection to the state of Oregon.
Speak for yourself, the last week has been nice, and the weathers probably going to be nice until Sept...but then the rains start.
I love it here...but sometimes the non-stop grey sucks. Course I spend 90% of my waking time in a cubicle, so ... shrug.

Huh? We have seen so much sun here in Portland this winter, not much rain or gray skies for this winter. Kind of weird for the area, but I am not complaining.
Which brings up another aphorism: "The Law Of Unintended Consequences!" Which is, "Whatever action you take, the ultimate consequences will be something you did not want and did not expect!"
Who says the results are unintended?
Economic harm, higher expenses, higher unemployment? That's PRECISELY what those people want.
Pooregon? LOL. Oregon is #26 out of 50 for per capita income. That means we're pretty solidly middle class.
As for loons.....on that...well yeah. Especially in Portland. It adds to our character though so its all good.
The loons run the state, period.
And no, OR is not "middle class". It has a few rich, and everyone else is struggling, big time.
Seeing as how the people who run the state hate employment, hate business, hate start-ups, hate prosperity, hate everything good... The people who suffer under them are the great majority.

LOL.
OK you do know Intel, Nike, and many other high tech companies are some of the major employers in the area right? That theres a ton of startups in Portland, we're pretty prosperous locally, and love tons of awesome things right?
I'm suffering sooo bad. yup. As are all of my neighbors. I mean, my god, some of us only have 2 cars.
Now if you're in one of the Red areas of Oregon-like say...Bend...thats another story, the heavily conservative areas do kinda suck. I grew up in that area.
Seriously, we have our own tv show about Portland!

Maybe its my work then, but its seemed grey to me. This last week has been incredible though. And the winter was mild, I dont recall seeing any snow at all. I am looking forward to the summer. I've got a ton of paid time off, and even more comp time that I want to take.
It was the fifth link that showed up. I wonder why the naysayers couldn't see it? OK, I was wrong, it was MT Public Radio, not NPR. BUT, I was able to find the link. IMO, the naysayers and insult specialists should be embarrassed that they couldn't find it!

I love how you first make fun of the people....then answer the question. Add in "NPR" to your search...
