Certainly Obama made mistake of lying which leads to such statements tho. But if you believe as many that the end justifies the means; then its all right to lie. One reason ACA is in problems it is in not being accept as final like say the Medicare prescription drug law is. Has always you have to have the consent of governed to govern ;that never changes.

Obama passed a Republican authored plan. Republicans determined that it was to their political advantage to fight the plan. Republicans have had many years and many opportunities to pass some sort of health care reform. They didn't. Now they are saying they will come up with an alternative. Why not before? And it is doubtful Republicans will come up with something now. They forced Romney to renounce a plan he passed in Massachusetts and he and Gingrich sold as the GOP answer to healthcare reform all through 2006. I know, I lived in Massachusetts at the time.

Seeing Gingrich demonize Romneycare during the 2012 primaries was a complete joke considering how many times I saw he and Romney selling the very same plan six years before.

Stop repeating the lies..

The Republican plan was to offer people tax deductions to save THEIR OWN MONEY, into health savings accounts.

ACA does NOT incentive individuals to pay for their own..

I'm so tired of Democrats repeating LIES in order to push their agenda.

Let me guess, you think ACA created surplus and would insure everyone as well, right?

We don't want the gub-ment's affordable health care any more than we want the gub-ment's affordable housing.

You'd be wrong about that. Plenty of people, including me, used to buy catastrophic insurance plans, and pay out of pocket for routine medical care. That's actually quite cost-effective.

Then you should know better. What I said above is absolutely true for MANY people, especially the self-employed.

I'm an engineer by profession. When I design and run construction projects, I have to follow a certain state and federal set of standards. Before these standards came out, many many many people died in fires and building collapses that could have been prevented through simple common sense.

For example, theater doors used to open inward and it was standard practice for theater owners to lock and chain fire escapes to prevent people from sneaking in. And before standards came out regarding these things, thousands of people died in fires and building collapses that were 100% preventable.

If anything, I'm just surprised that we finally came around to having the bare minimum set of standards for something as essential as health insurance.

Continue to "doubt" that thousands of people saying that they liked their plans, really didn't.

And, BTW, what those canceled plans are lacking are Obama's requirements. Men don't need and shouldn't be required to purchase policies with OB/GYN care, and neither should women who don't want or need it. Ditto for substance abuse, psychological care, and a host of other goodies we're paying for so that others pay less.

Keep your beak out of everone else's business.

What is making these current insurance plans non-compliant with the ACA?
