They need to live their values. If the ACA/Obamacare is wealth redistribution, then we need to look at all the wealth redistribution taking place with Medicare.

They need to cover their costs and if that is double or triple what they are paying, then that is the price.
About $500K-750K per retired couple.

Like I said, consider seniors' accrued prior contributions plus 11% compounded annual growth and compare that to their actual costs. If they exceed that, cut them off. Let their families step up to the plate to provide for them after that.

The 'accrued growth' on their contributions is exactly 0.00%!

Now you're talking! Cut them off?! YES!!!

And don't forget, a lot of married couples got Medicare when only one of them worked! Yes, we need to cut them off when they exceed their contribution. The interest can be debated but this is the point exactly.

Hmmm, even though a couple on Medicare (in poor health) could pay as much today (and possibly more) than for the same on ACA?

So basically you hate old people.

Why not? A lot of people paid very little in. I have no problem with them getting credit back for that. But seniors have no problem with killing the ACA/Obamacare.

Come on. You have to know how hypocritical it is. You have to know how undeserving it was to give seniors Medicare Part D; it was completely unfunded. Where were the protests?

I absolutely am amazed at how much rationalization is taking place when it comes to Medicare when your own political party - the Republican Congress - just told you they want to reduce Medicare benefits and increase Medicare costs.

You're going to pay more and maybe a whole lot more. Those are the breaks. You hate the ACA/Obamacare, fine.

But you need to admit what an incredible drag on the budget you have been and that needs to stop. When your premiums and copays jump through the roof, when your voucher doesn't even cover half of a decent medical coverage policy, you can look in the mirror and say "You Built That".

Nah, just the hypocritical ones.

Are you going to tell the Republican Congress they hate old people? I bet not. Enjoy your voucher and increased copays and premiums.
