You do know that ACORN has "gone" in name only, do you not? It has re-invented itself under other names. "Project Vote" is one of those organizations (Field director, Amy Busefink is a former ACORN worker, convicted on two counts of conspiracy to commit voter fraud). "Organizing for America" is another organization that engages in much of ACORNS former tactics. They have been accused of registering Democrats in voter drives, but failing to submit the registrations of those who checked "Republican" on the registration forms.

Much of ACORN's strength lay in local chapters, and those continue to operate as usual, under new names, "New York Communities for Change," for example. And former ACORN head, Bertha Lewis (friend of Mayor de Blasio) has a new non-profit.

It is precisely because of ACORN's activities in voter fraud that it was forced to disband. Apparently "the law" saw more than "very little substance."

You're naive if not uninformed. As I said above in my reply to you, the local ACORN chapters continued to operate under new names, using the same tactics as always. "ACORN" has become a generic term, almost, and it will probably stick to these other organizations forever. They will not be able to shake the stigma of having been associated with ACORN, even though they operate under different names.

No, that's not what it means. Unless it was all illegal, and with the exception of IRS targeting, it was not.

Sigh. no ACORN is dead, killed off by false video edited hit peices. Theres so many falsehoods in your post I am not even sure where to begin.

Google everything you just said, and educate yourself. This is beyond foolishness, this is someone who has believed everything they were told.

Yes people who organized voting drives have gone into the same business. my god I must be part of some huge computer software conspiracy because I keep working at places doing that.

A small example-"the law" had nothing to do with ACORN disbanding, it was falling revenues.

Acorn was hit with federal funding violations on grants in many of the places they operated in. Really not much but a few large northern cities.

As a catholic, I don't go to church but that doesn't mean I'm not religious. And that's the same with every religion. A building does not define your religion but of course to some it does. Have you been to a jewish household when they are celebrating one of their holidays. It's pretty amazing.

Default The absurdity from the Right continues

Wow, only a Conservative can make such a ridiculous quantum leap that has no basis in reality.

Netanyahu's "victory" is no mandate for more Dubya in this country. How ridiculous.

Her party got second place behind the more conservative party of Nicholas Sarkozy, with the Socialists under current president Francoise Holland, bringing up the rear.

For the Socialists, it sounds pretty similar to the epic buttkicking that the Democrats received here last November.
