I am sure this won't go over well. However, it was a black player saying "**** that ******" about a white player. Will it hurt his draft stock? Will he be forced to undergo counseling? Will the school suspend him?
No-
He is black, therefore nothing will happen to him. In the US, it's okay to hate white people.
If he was white, he would have been put on a cross and crucified to coincide with the Easter holiday, thrown off the team, and banned from playing in the NCAA and the NBA.

White folk aren't insulted by racial name calling. Call me a cracker, a honk ie, an n..., none of those words, or any others you might come up with, have any meaning and therefore are not offensive..
In order to be insulted by a word, you have to want to be insulted...
This actually shows how something like this should work. Someone makes a disparaging remark about someone for whatever reason. After realizing what they did they talk to the one they made the remark about, say they are sorry, the one who has the remark made about them accepts it and we move on.
You really don't see the irony here? Black people go around calling each other this word every day, to every one of their associates. Yet, they are gravely offended if a white person uses the word? Okay, that makes sense.

As I remember, at the Final Four last year after Wisconsin lost to Kentucky, the Wisconsin players held their heads up, shook hands, and congratulated Kentucky on their win. Did anyone see the Kentucky players congratulating and shaking the hands of the Wisconsin players?
IMO, Kentucky lost their dignity and self respect along with that game.
If the white player would have Said the N word to the Black player it would be a nacional front page news and the liberals calling for the head of the Coach for not suspendíng the player or kicking him out the team......a boycott of the school.
Black player does it , its all cool.....its a Black culture thing......lol

word usage has nothing to do with draft stock, remember, the NFL has drafter murders(i know this is the NBA,but they all care about money)
Counseling is stupid and I have said so when it was said of the white Eagles player as well.
If he is going into the draft, then that means this was his last game as a Kentucky player, How would he be suspended ? There is nothing left for him to play.
I choose not to use the n word, I would hope this young man would do the same and learn from his mistake, but this isnt even close to being comparable to the other cases that have been in the media.
maybe though, this is a teachable moment to show there never is a right time to use that word, but i only read the OP, this thread has likely already devolved into a shouting match.

No, its the same as females calling each other B#^&$^, but knowing as a man you never would. It doesnt make it right, but to claim it is the same is naive.
