Just wanted to see what others thought of the less lethal riot training taking place at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Looks like our government is anticipation some civil unrest!

This type of training has been going on for at least the last ten years.

probably a good thing because if things do not change, unrest may be on the horizon.

I took only 4 posts for this to devolve into some partisan BS...

I don't see an issue with this. It seems sensible. If they only learned how to combat violent incidents, they'd either employ those tactics on a non-violent (or at least not militant) protest, which we typically call a massacre, or try and use other tactics and fail quite miserably.

We send our military into foreign, hostile cities all the time. Why *wouldn't* we train them in riot control????
