It turns out that some victims of the Iraq invasion (and subsequent bloodbath) will actually get justice. I applaud the judge for giving the families of the 17 civilians murdered the justice they have long sought.

A federal judge Monday sentenced a former Blackwater Worldwide security guard to life in prison and three others to 30-year terms for killing 14 unarmed civilians in a Baghdad traffic circle in 2007, an incident that fomented deep resentments about the accountability of American security forces during one of the bloodiest periods of the Iraq war.

It took 8 years but it was about time those murderous scum pay for the atrocity.

I just hope that at some point, the white collar criminals on Wall Street that cause the Great Recession would similarly spend some time behind bars. But I'm not holding my breath.

They were ex-military. I'm not familiar with the story, but training wouldn't seem to be an issue.

Watch Obama reduce or commute their sentences just before he slithers out of office.

That makes me feel better, what cities?

These people answered to no one and was another reason why out arrival in Baghdad was not celebrated, the best way to turn a foreign nation against us is to put people like this in place. We should never have invaded Iraq without the military forces we needed.

These mercenaries were even threatening our own state department.
