I know that's a bold claim right there right? But it's true. America does not have a race problem, never has and probably never will. I just think race is the ultimate scrapegoat in America, and it's something we hold onto. But when you think about it, there is only 1 reason why "race" still exist in America. That is to separate people. To create sense of hopelessness from those who feel they are oppressed, and a sense of apathy from those who are often accused of doing the oppressing.

But think about. What black problem in America has even just stayed an exclusively black problem? What black problem did no eventually become a trend in American society as a whole. The black family started to break down in the 60s, and the white family started to fall apart in the 70s. Single parent black households started to grow in the black community, and it wasn't too long after that where the trend started among whites. Let's talk about drug addiction, gang violence, etc. All at one point considered exclusive to the black community, all eventually became issues in white America.

So can we really even say America has a race problem? Or is race just a diversion to stop people from seeing that we all have a common oppressor? That the socialist government wants to start taking rights away from citizens, but want to target black people first at the apathy and sometime applause at whites. But how long before they go to whites and start taking their rights away?

One just need to read colonial history to understand that whole concept of divide and conquer. People are easy to conquer when they feel they are separate and different. They will not band together and be advocates for each other. But instead watch the other burn, feeling that they're somehow safe from our shared oppressors.

The concept of race needs to disappear in America. This is a fight against the American citizens vs a government that has been run amok. America enemy isn't race, it's the growing virus of socialism. And it's an enemy that Americans of all races must band together and combat.

You were doing so well until you went off the rails. Like they say, follow the bloody money! Who has profited throughout the history of this country from the divide and conquer that you refer to? Who made money from pitting slave labor against paid labor. Who used race to break strikes. Who picks working class white workers against workers of color? Who makes money off of illegal immigrants while using the same immigrants as the scapegoat for working class economic woes? The "socialist" government, puleeze!

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. On the other hand I have a very different perspective. I am from the south and saw first hand what happened

And can you prove that the government hasn't been behind every major issue with Americans? Seriously wake up. The less government we have in our lives, the better

I think no one here really believes a black person has no problem with the government killing Eric Garner or Freddie Gray for being black people they didn't like without a trial. You as a black man would not mind being killed while unarmed by the police? It does not bother you how much more likely it is for you or your family to be arrested for the same offense a white person is accused of?

Excellent post. Unfortunately government wants us to be divided. It's easier to control and take from the people.

That, I agree with. But that is not what you said. You claimed the socialist government it taking away our rights. And indeed, many rights have been lost. What do you think the Patriot Act is? But just because our government is corrupt, does not make it a socialist government. Socialist in today's term seems to be what we dub anything we don't like, but that's not what it is.
