If I felt he or she was the best person for the job, I wouldn't hold that against him or her.
I think it's good to find talent in unusual places and it can actually strengthen an organization. In my opinion, diversity is one of the most important factors for building and then maintaining a successful team. I don't necessarily mean the traditional definition of diversity (race, gender, etc.), but diversity of ideas.
If you recruit the same people you have always recruited, you will become stagnant and get left behind. Times change and talent can be found in all walks of life.
I don't see why that matters either way. It's not my place to judge what he or she did in their past life. Maybe they like sex? As long as they can do the job, I don't care about their personal life.
The last paragraph posed a tough question. After some thought, I decided I would hire the girl with the $30,000 school debt.
Why? Because I think most of the folks in front of the porn cameras has issues of some kind, so they're prone to lead lives of never-ending drama, and they are impulsive by nature.
A kid with a $30,000 debt, I think, would have needed to be focused and to stay on track, both things that amount to less drama and much more impulse control. With that kind of burden, she would probably stay on the job and not quit suddenly, and would try to work her way up the pay scale, if the job has any promise of that.
This is pretty generalized; who knows? In a real life situation, the choice might be the other way around. It would all depend on the persons.
To make it even more interesting...what if the chick with $30K school debt is a lesbian?
Porn stars are paid to have sex in front of a camera. Lot's of people do it for free, post it on the internet and may already work for your company. Your daughter may be doing it.
Then we have professional politicians. I consider them a lower form of life and wouldn't hire one.

Politicians are like prostitutes, well maybe they are prostitutes.
I would hire the porn star if she could do whatever job I needed someone to do.

Depends on the job obviously. If it wasn't a sensitive job, i wouldn't care a bit.
