The SCOTUS says that the law in San Francisco requiring gun owners to keep their guns in a lock box or with a trigger lock is legal.
So remember, if someone breaks in, ask them to please wait until you get the trigger lock off your gun.

In 2012, the gun owners unsuccessfully sought an injunction that would have prevented the regulation from being enforced.

Sort of a moot point as it's pretty much unenforceable anyway.

The gestapo is going to knock on your door and make sure you firearm is secure. California registration lets them know who the gun owners are.

A law really isn't a law if nobody obeys it and it can't be enforced.

Well not exactly. Florida has a similar law with regards to guns in homes that are also occupied by children, if a child gains access to an unsecured firearm the owner can be charged.

If someone allows a kid to get access to a gun they should be charged.

They should be charge if their kids do anything illegal. Not holding the parents responsible is what fails in America.
