What happened with the American right wing love affair with Russia and Putin?

Just move there...

Great point! Putin's Russia is actually the best option for a developed country with strong social conservatism and benefits directed to the rich, political ties to the church. They've even got flat taxes.

It ain't the rich or conservatives that seem to be flocking (often illegally) into countries like India and Turkey.

UK is out of the question; I fail to stomach them as well.
1) United States
2) Saudi Arabia
3) Iran
4) Afghanistan

Choices 2 and 3 might present some problems with gun ownership, please consult legalities in respective countries.

Good luck and don't forget to log in and share your experiences

LOL, at the OP. Contrary to what you believe, you are already in such a country if you live in the USA.

Conservatism isn't all that popular in the developed world. Developed societies know that some form of social governance or programs (especially in regards to education and universal healthcare) are necessary for a thriving society. Which is why the US also has its social programs of which many conservatives don't like.

Also "conservatism" in Europe IMO is more like a moderate liberal ideology here in America. Liberals in Europe are much more left wing IMO.

No gay rights, no animal activists, no limp-wristed wimps that suck the system dry like liberals do; predominantly white or Hispanic. Women rights and female led families are okay socially.

Thinking Latin America too.. somewhere in South America might fit the bill..

You know what, that's the best answer yet.

Whoa-you are out of touch. South America is the most radically left continent on the planet.

I am actually looking to move there-possibly Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile or Argentina.

And yet your mind can't comprehend why modern and reasonably developed can't coexist with conservatism Try Iran, you'll love it at least until the normal people get the religious nuts out.

Interesting topic.

My opinion is that You can't separate fiscal issues from social issues. They're deeply intertwined. They affect each other. Economic issues often are social issues.

Conservative has the word conserve in it, which means to hold on to, or save. So conservatism if used carefully, is great for economy, and a country as a whole.

For your ideal country, I think Denmark fits the description because Denmark is NOT completely conservative.

People in Denmark are not anti-immigrant per se, but they think that reasonable laws need to be in place when we have trouble like now: There is still a big number of people who are out of work and taking in loads of immigrants isn't helping that problem.
