Conservative has the word conserve in it, which means to hold on to, or save. So conservatism if used carefully, is great for economy, and a country as a whole.

For your ideal country, I think Denmark fits the description because Denmark is NOT completely conservative.

People in Denmark are not anti-immigrant per se, but they think that reasonable laws need to be in place when we have trouble like now: There is still a big number of people who are out of work and taking in loads of immigrants isn't helping that problem.
