I want a modern and reasonably developed, yet semi-conservative society. Where on earth is it to be found?

UK is out of the question; I fail to stomach them as well.

You're already in it.

Sorry.

Every 'conservative' country you can name is an impoverished back-water.

Just like every Red State in the union.

At what point do you recognize a pattern here?

If such a country existed, liberals would already be there. No where else would they be able to spread so much of other peoples' wealth into their parasitic pockets.

Try Yemen or somewhere around there. Not exactly quite there as far as developed, but I hear it is like Disney Land for socially conservative ideals. They are big on that stuff over there. Yes, you would definitely be better off there, especially if you are a female as your forum handle might suggest.

Which, by the way, raises an interesting counterpoint: there is generally an inverse relationship between "modern and reasonably developed" and "conservative"...

Let's see... Canada, pretty much all of Western Europe... Australia... Singapore... Japan... yep, all among the most developed nations, all run by lots of liberal ****heads.

On the socially conservative side, let's see... you've got... hmm, all of the Middle East, lots of impoverished mainland Asia, other fun places like Kyrgystan...

But by all means, if you or OP see those places as better with fewer liberal ****heads running the place... please, move there!

Communist means one party, not the ideology of the country itself. A country can be communist and liberal, or communist and conservative.
